Built by Hoteliers, Not a Tech Company: Travera Launches to End the Chaos Behind the Front Desk

Alabama husband-and-wife team Landon and Tori Lawrence launch Travera, the all-in-one operations platform that replaces clipboards, group texts and spreadsheets with one system every hotel team can run on

SELMA, Ala. — November 3, 2026 — Every hotel guest sees the lobby. Few see what it takes to keep it running: rooms that need turning, broken AC units, missed handoffs at 11 p.m., and brand audits that can make or break a property. Today, Travera launches nationwide to fix all of it. Built by hotel operator Landon Lawrence and his wife, Tori Lawrence, Travera puts room status, shift handoffs, maintenance, brand compliance and owner reporting in one platform, so hotel teams spend less time chasing information and more time taking care of guests.

Travera was founded by Landon and Tori Lawrence. Landon didn't learn hotel operations from a pitch deck. He learned it on the floor, serving as Director of Operations for FMD Hospitality, which manages Hilton and IHG franchises, and stepping in as acting general manager whenever a property needed one. Travera was born from the problems he faced every single day.

Landon's career in hospitality started behind the counter at McDonald's as a teenager. Then someone gave him a chance on the night audit shift at a hotel. He spent six years there, learning how a hotel really runs when everyone else has gone home. From there he joined Marriott as a front desk supervisor and earned his way up role by role, position by position, to the operations leadership role he holds today. He has worked nearly every job Travera is built to support.

The problems every hotel knows too well

  • Room status is a guessing game. Front desk asks housekeeping, housekeeping radios maintenance, and guests wait in the lobby for a room that may already be ready.
  • Shift handoffs fall through the cracks. A guest complaint or VIP request noted on a sticky note at 3 p.m. is gone by the night audit.
  • Maintenance issues get lost. Work orders live in notebooks and text threads, so the same broken ice machine gets reported three times and fixed once — late.
  • Brand audits mean panic. Deep clean and preventative maintenance programs are tracked in scattered spreadsheets, and properties scramble when an inspection is announced.
  • Owners are left in the dark. Ownership groups wait days for reports pieced together by hand, with no clear view of how the property is really running.
  • Most software isn't built for real hotels. Enterprise tools are expensive, complicated and designed far from the front desk, leaving small and mid-size hotels with nothing that fits.

Instead of waiting for a vendor to solve it, Landon and Tori built the solution themselves. Travera started as the system for the hotels he runs and is now used every day by front desk, housekeeping and maintenance teams at live properties.

How Travera solves them

  • Live room status: One shared, real-time board for clean, dirty, inspected and out-of-order rooms, so front desk, housekeeping and maintenance always see the same picture.
  • Digital shift handoffs: Structured handoffs that carry every guest issue, task and note from one shift to the next. Nothing gets lost.
  • Maintenance that gets done: Work orders logged in seconds, assigned to the right person and tracked to completion, plus preventative maintenance schedules that stop small problems from becoming expensive ones.
  • Brand Compliance Center: Track brand standards, deep clean and preventative maintenance programs in one place, so every property is audit-ready any day of the year.
  • Owner and GM reporting: Clear, up-to-date operational reporting that gives general managers, management companies and owners real visibility without the manual work.
  • Built for every property: Simple enough for a 50-room roadside hotel, powerful enough for a multi-property portfolio, and priced for both.

A native mobile app is launching soon, putting Travera in the pocket of every housekeeper, engineer and manager. Integrations with major property management system providers are in the works and will be released soon.

“Most hotel software is built by people who have never worked a night audit or covered a housekeeping shift. I built Travera because I needed it. Every hotel, no matter the size or the town, deserves tools that make the job easier, keep standards high and let teams focus on guests instead of paperwork.”
